Vintage Imperial Daisy Basket Carnival Glass Marigold.
What a brilliant little stunner! This lovely marigold glass basket vase will cheerfully hold your arrangements of wildflowers on your sunny breakfast table. Imagine the colors that will sparkle when the rays of light play on the iridescent surface of this happy piece.
This basket stands 10” tall and is 5.25” x 2.75” across the top. The base is just shy of 3” wide.
The Imperial Glass Company manufactured this with a lovely Daisy pattern and twisted glass handle. There are no chips and cracks or flea bites. This basket is pristine! There are two little bubbles within the upper part of the basket. I have included a closeup in the images. These are very common and were part of the manufacturing process. You cannot feel them from the outside or inside of the glass. I think they add to the charm! The lines that you see are also the seams from the pressed glass manufacturers process and are not defects. Please see the pictures I have included.
Pressed glass innovations at the end of the 1800’s and early 1900’s made it easier for American families to afford these lovely bright glass trinkets and dinnerware. Glassware was sought after and the glass manufacturers sought to provide households with a variety of patterns for everyday use and for decoration to treasure. Glass items were sought after as prizes at Carnivals. The history is fascinating and will give you an insight to our grandparents way of life.
I take great care in shipping and package each item individually using a combination of paper, shredded paper, and bubble wrap. This is not my first rodeo and you can be sure I do all I can to ensure your item arrives to you in good condition.
