Item Description
Val Zeitler is well known in the doll world but a lot of people don't know that she started her doll career doing these amazing humorous out of this world soft sculpture dolls, dressed and hand painted by her.  This doll is from 2005 and was obtained by a doll shop at a toy fair where Val was set up.  I purchased this and the other which is in another listing from the doll shop that purchased her.
This one does not have a tag because she was a one of a kind.  I'm not even sure if the name of Lady in Glasses was given by Val or the doll shop.  But I do know this doll is a piece of art and a piece of work and she is just fabulous.
This is not a doll you are going to play with.  This kind of artist doll caters to collectors and especially those who know Val and love her sense of style and humor, this is something amazing to add to your collection.
She does sit down.  She will not stand without the help of a doll stand and in fact her legs are loose and dangly.  My stand shown in one of the photos is NOT included.  It's even a bit too big for her anyway, but I wanted to show her standing.  And my photo tent isn't even quite tall enough so please forgive the standing up photos as I tried to hold the top of the tent with one hand and photo in the other!
She is 27" tall but again, she sits in her magnificence and if you had a great doll chair to put her in she would look amazing.
Her sunglasses can be removed.  Everything else is attached.  And because she is soft sculpture, she is surprisingly light weight.
Never played with or displayed (other than in the doll shop).
She will come to you insured with signature required.
