Up for auction at the Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio is an Antique THOMAS A. EDISON Wind-Up Diamond Disc PHONOGRAPH Record Player & Oak Cabinet. Beneath the decorative grille is a pull-down cabinet featuring 34 record slots. The listing includes the crank and head. Lubricated. Tested and smoothly operates. All parts are present. The phonograph comes with a box of 20 records. NOTE: The lid has a few tiny spots missing veneer and a single .25”x 2.5”space also missing veneer (see photos). Circa: 1919. Dimensions: 57”H (open) 54”H (closed) x 19”W x 19.5”D. Weight Edison=90 lbs. Weight records= 20 lbs. Total=110 lbs. ABOUT THE EDISON: Thomas Edison invented the phonograph in 1877. In 1912, after investing millions of dollars, Edison presented the Edison Diamond Disc phonograph.
