    Thai Buddhist painting on cloth of  a red cloaked monk on a raised pedestal underneath a tree giving a sermon to five crowned, kneeling and praying divinities, possibly a scene from the story of Phra Malai.
    Condition: Losses to pigments, water staining near the bottom, cloth glued down to board, otherwise overall fair condition.
    Painting: 29-1/4 in. x 20-1/4 in., 19th century.
    Giltwood frame with silk surround: 36-1/4 in. x 27-1/4 in.
