Sencore Mighty Mite II 2 TC 114 Tube Tester Completely Refurbished. This is a neat little tube tester. Super small and convenient. It could easily fit in a backpack and be taken to swap meets or anywhere your planning on buying some tubes. This is the last Mighty Mite with a rugged metal case, they were made out of cheap plastic after this. All 1/2 watt 20% tolerance carbon composition resistors were out of spec. They have been replaced with 1 watt 1% tolerance metal film. Old paper caps have been replaced. The filter cap was replaced with a high quality Rubycon capacitor. The other cap was replaced with an Illinois brand poly film capacitor. I've taken the time to identify and correctly orient the outside foil on this cap. I've shown 2 12AS7 tubes being tested, one good, one questionable(pics6&7) I've also shown 2 35Z5 tubes being tested, one bad, one good (pics 4&5) Keep in mind if you were to buy one of these you'd most likely have to replace all the components before you could actually trust it. This is supposed to be an accurate piece of test gear. How accurate can you possibly be with 70 year old leaky caps and resistors drifting all over the place.
