    Description

    A unique, one of a kind offering for an Ancestor or Patriot Bar Pin.  This pin has the name of Mary Bowman Stevons (Stevens)  and was made JE Caldwell and is marked Gold Filled.
    This is a MUST HAVE pin for your sash particularly if Mrs. Bowman Stevons (?Stevens) is your ancestor.
    It
    measures 1 3/4" wide and  3/8" tall and is hand engraved.  There is a secure locking pin back which is fully functional as well as a set place ribbon bar.  It is marked JE CALDWELL GOLD FILLED on the back.  Pins such as are commissioned and lineage must be confirmed before a pin can be produced.  For this reason, pins such as these are often handed down in families.
    JE Caldwell was a Philadelphia PA jeweler established in 1839 and for many years was one of the few companies commissioned by the Daughters of the American Revolution to produce commemorative pins for the organization.  They have since closed their doors.  These pins are now commissioned by Hamilton Insignia, one of the only remaining companies authorized to produce DAR pins.  It is important to note that the gold filled pins produced by Hamilton Insignia do not have a ribbon bar.
