Elite units of Government or Party ( Paramilitary ), HJ ( Youth Leaders ), Police, Volksturm ( Peoples Army ), NSKK ( Transportation Core ), and so on and so on........

During WW2 the German Military utilized at least 13 different Greatcoat styles, with different variations.
This is a known Historical Fact.
Every part of this High Quality, Black Leather Greatcoat is Exactly what you want to see for Third Reich Period Use.
The Original Elite Black Label was sewn onto the inside of the Buttoned pocket, shown in the photos. Unfortunately as is usually the case, this label was removed, but you can clearly see the Label was in fact once sewn onto the lining of the buttoned pocket, which is the correct place for the Black Elite label.
The Cotton thread, Full Length Rayon lining, Astor - Mod HERA Belt Buckles and PRYM Buttons, all are Original to WW2 Manufacturing, Very few of this type of Original overcoat uniform pieces exist for us to enjoy today.

Taking photos of this large coat was not easy for my camera, if the photos are not sufficient, please do not hesitate to ask for more photos.
This Original Overcoat is still in Wonderful wearable condition, the Coat was worn during the War, so there is some discoloration of the material from the sun and natural elements.
Please remember that this is a Used item, it was used in the most horrible of circumstances - War!!
That being said, it should be expected that there will be a little wear and use to the over all coat. Please review the Lining closely, there is wear, open seams, to both underarms. This can be easily restored with care.
Also you will notice at the very bottom of the skirt, inside the coat on the lining, you will see a cut out square. I believe that this square cut, was used to fish out documents or other items, that the Elite Officer would have hidden inside the coat, between the lining and the leather.
This was usual practice to hide your personal or other Government documents, inside of your uniform, shoes, caps, etc. One of the pockets, when you insert your hand you can feel that at the bottom of the inside of the pocket was cut, this was done ( in my Humble Opinion ) so the Officer could reach down into the inside of the coat and hide items.
Once documents or other items were put inside of the lining of the coat, they were hidden well, I have found Reichsmarks and other documents in the past, hidden inside of German uniforms.
The cut out Square at the very bottom of the skirt lining can also be restored, if a Uniform is searched for items, usually there will be a cut at the bottom of the seam, as usually when documents and so on, were hidden in the lining, these pieces would fall to the very bottom of the skirt.
I believe this type of history is important to leave it be. But, its up to the buyer, if he wants to wear this beautiful piece, I can understand that as well.
These types of pieces should be kept and saved for all future generations to enjoy, a German Soldier fought for his Honor, his Family and Country while wearing this piece of Uniform Equipment.
All of the seams are strong and the Leather, although a little dirty as it has been in storage a very long time, is Very Beautiful, Great Black colors.
Overall Length, this measurement is from the top of the shoulder all the way down to the very bottom of the skirt - 40 3/4 inches.
Arm Length is measured from the very top of the arm on the seam, to the very bottom of the sleeve - 25 inches.
Chest is measured from arm pit to arm pit - 20 inches.
Waist is adjustable by using the original leather belt, which is ofcourse is included with the overcoat, these belts can be very difficult to find.
