Fenton Peacock & Urn Carnival Glass Ruffled Bowl, Blue Iridescent
Lovely bowl with a soft sawtooth edge and eight ruffles. The design features a large central peacock in front of a flower filled urn and surrounded by flowers and leaves. A small butterfly or bee floats above the peacock's bill. The back pattern is Fenton's Bearded Berry. The base glass is cobalt blue, with beautiful purple, teal and gold iridescence. Classic era carnival glass, produced 1912-1927.
Condition:  Tiny flake to base ring. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Iridescence is in excellent condition, with almost no wear on the inside and a few short scratches near the rim on the outside.
Marks:  Unmarked.
Dimensions:  9" wide, 2 1/4" high.
Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence of carnival glass can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed. How the iridescence will look in your home will depend on your unique background colors and lighting conditions.
