    Description

Antique Fenton Cherry Blossom Cannon Ball Pitcher & 6 Tumblers
I'm not sure if this is a Fenton "Cherry Blossom Pattern"  or Northwood "Cherries and Little Flowers" set. I am certainly no expert on either maker or carnival glass but I will describe the pieces as much as I can and hopefully someone with more knowledge will know which one it is. I find no makers markings, names or initial on any of the pieces.
Cobalt Blue Carnival Glass with Enameled Hand Painted Cherry & Flowers
There are no cracks on any of the pieces. The pitcher does have some kind of mark on the inside near the spout (photo 4 & 11). It kind of looks like a burn mark to the iridescent coloring over the cobalt blue glass but I don't know this for sure. When I hold the pitcher to the light and look at the inside of it I can see what looks like subtle horizontal ribs. Reminds me of large fish scales. There are 2 seems on the outside of the glass that are on opposite sides of each other. One runs does the side where the handle is and the other where the spout is. The handle is a separate piece that was applied to the pitcher. The hand painted flowers and cherries look to be complete and have age appropriate coloring. The bottom of the pitcher has what I would describe as a footed ring that is slightly concaved in around 5/8 of an inch from the outside edge (photo 5 & 6)
The 6 glasses have no cracks. Some of them have some tiny chipping/roughness on the bottoms (photo 10 & 12). They also have a flat bottom at the edge but then concaved in about 1/4" away from the edge. When I hold them up to the light and look through them I can see some air bubbles and 2 of them seem a little more amber looking in coloring where the others are more blue looking. Not sure why or if that's important but wanted to mention it. Painted flowers and cherries show like the pitcher. Age appropriate coloring/ware.
This is a very beautiful set with a lovely rainbow iridescent to it especially when the light reflects off of it.
Weighs approximately 6 pounds (prior to packaging)
