FENTON CARNIVAL GLASS ORANGE GOLD "THISTLE" BANANA BOAT~ Lovely As Is!

Description

From the estate of a West Michigan antique collector, this beautiful carnival glass banana boat bowl is Fenton’s Thistle pattern (interior) with a waterlily and cattail exterior pattern. It displays beautifully with lovely golden orange iridescence and four scrolled ball feet. The bowl features a beaded saw tooth scalloped rim and oval beaded base. It measures 10 1/4” in length, 8” wide and 4 1/4” high.
The beaded base of the bowl has a 1/4” chip on the upper edge, beneath a scrolled foot. This flake type chip is not visible when displayed- I found it by touch examination for flaws. (See last photo.). The is also a flea bite chip on the underside of one of the scrolled feet. (See photo #11.)
The thistle patterned bowl interior shows no scratches. There an inclusion production mark within the oval base, visible from he underside only. There is a linear mark (? straw mark) to one side of the base. (See photos 9 and 10.) I have priced this piece considering the flaws.
