This item in my EBAY store is a FENTON  "CAPTIVE ROSE"  9 1/4"  AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS ROUND FLAT PLATE.   This Fenton "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst carnival glass plate is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches and no glass staining;   This FENTON "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst carnival glass plate is in the beautiful condition this "CAPTIVE ROSE" plate was produced and left the "FENTON ART GLASS COMPANY" many years ago;   I may also add that this
FENTON  "CAPTIVE ROSE"  9 1/4"  AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS ROUND FLAT PLATE is an early FENTON vintage antique carnival glass "CAPTIVE ROSE" plate that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherished this "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst plate according to the condition this "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst plate remains in today, a very beautiful carnival glass plate;   I want to mention that this "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst plate I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass glass making process having straw marks, stress lines and some times air bubbles are seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these early characteristics I just mentioned to you are and can be seen inside the glass of this amethyst "CAPTIVE ROSE" plate, I do have a couple of photos that show an air bubble inside the glass of this "CAPTIVE ROSE" plate that surely is no harm to this American beauty;
It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this American beauty the rainbow of COLOR and IRIDESCENCE show on this "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst plate, after all carnival glass is ALL about the COLOR and IRIDESCENCE.   Do not know what else to say about this beautiful plate, this pattern I have here is not a rare pattern by any means, but the good points here is that this "CAPTIVE ROSE" amethyst plate here has super IRIDESCENCE and is one of Fenton's most beautiful carnival glass patterns produced, a very unusual item for your money and would certainly sit on the top shelf for a beginner collector for its money value;   FENTON did a fantastic job of iridizing this amethyst "CAPTIVE ROSE" plate front and back as you can see, the carnival glass IRIDESCENCE here certainly is one of FENTONS best when buying carnival glass;   You can see this FENTON "CAPTIVE ROSE" pattern that is shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by, "Edwards & Carwile" a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION on page # 66;    I've taken numerous (all) photos outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass IRIDESCENCE and size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost is .25 for the shipping and .75 for the insurance.     All stickers on MY FENTON  "CAPTIVE ROSE"  9 1/4"  amethyst carnival glass round flat plate sent to you must remain on MY FENTON
