This is a handmade Hickory Hanbo Staff. The Hanbo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. This particular staff is 36 inches in length which is the traditional length. Its diameter is 1.25 inches through out its length making it extra heavy. 

Hickory is the hardest available north american wood, and has a great smooth sturdy feel. The hickory prevents this hanbo from having any wobble upon performing techniques. The hanbo is made from two pieces of laminated hickory, giving it extra strength and straightness.

It is finished with several coats of Linseed and Beeswax oil, which gives it a permanent shine and protective layer while allowing the users hands to slip effortlessly up and down the staff, which is required for proper technique.
The staff is all of lighter colored hickory. A few pictures were darker looking.
This hanbo has a minor cosmetic flaw. There is a dark grain line down one end of the staff. It does not penetrate deep into the staff, and it does not weaken the staff in any way. It can be felt slightly with a finger but it does not penetrate into the wood. However, due to this I have reduced the price from 57$ to 52$ I have included two pictures.
