Special hydrophilic pads, which are used when applying electrodes on the skin, can be made independently at home. To do this, you will need a fragment of sufficiently dense cotton fabric (flannel, bike, or gauze composed of several layers is best suited). The dimensions of the hydrophilic gasket should be slightly larger than the electrodes themselves. The thickness of the hydrophilic gasket should be 1 cm, and the width should extend beyond the edges of the electrode by about 1-1.5 cm.
Immediately after the procedure, hydrophilic pads must be thoroughly rinsed in a weak solution of a non-aggressive detergent, rinsed with running water, and dried.
