    Description

Here is a really special Edison Blue Amberol cylinder, #3709.  President Theodore Roosevelt makes a speech on "Social and Industrial Justice".  This was recorded in July 1912, in connection with his third party presidential campaign.  Edison recorded and released three different speeches by President Roosevelt on four minute Amberol cylinders.  When he died in 1919, Edison rereleased the recordings on Blue Amberol cylinders, in April 1919, so this is one of the three speeches.  It is a real treat to hear the actual voice of the man who was president 120 years ago!!  The cylinder plays well with moderate surface noise.  I  will also provide a period correct (if somewhat battered) cylinder box for you.  As far as I know, the three cylinders did not sell too well.  They come up every now and then on eBay with sellers asking outrageous sums of money for them.  My buy it now price is below any listing I have seen for this cylinder, so if this interests you come and get it!!
Shipping to USA addresses only.  .50 media mail postage and fees, I will ship cylinder in a new box.  Please pay within 24 hours of purchase and I will leave you positive feedback when I ship the cylinder, your positive feedback appreciated!  See my store for more cylinder records, I will combine postage if you buy more than one, and thanks for looking!!
