Description
Antique Edison phonograph and a huge lot of cylinder records. Condition is "Used" but in very good condition and very well kept over the years. This phonograph plays both 2 (two) and 4 (four) minute records. Unit has been cleaned, oiled, and tested and has a new motor drive belt. Been in this Irish family since the very early 1900's. The player has only been used once for cleaning, repair, and testing in the last 70 years, and most likely minimal use prior to that. Phonograph is a Model D2, Serial #366062-D having the horn attachment on the outside rear of the cabinet. Phonograph cabinet has very little wear for being over 100 years old, just a small sliver of wood about half an inch long is missing on the cover. Please see attached photos. The phonograph has a Diamond 'B" original reproducer #100674 on it. Only Amberol blue or newer cylinders can be played on this diamond reproducer. To play the older soft wax cylinder records you will need to change the reproducer.I have an original #10 Cygnet bell horn with attaching elbow horn along with the rubber connecting piece and reproduced horn crane support brackets all of which most phonograph sellers do not list. The smaller horn has a small dent as well as some wear but fits and connects perfectly to the phonograph and to the larger bell horn.
I have
200
Edison Amberol 4 (four) minute cylinder records. The lot
consists of 132 Green Amberol in green containers, 34 Blue Amberol in blue containers, 33 Blue Amberol in orange containers, and 1 B-168 Special in a red container. All have been opened and all are in good shape. On some, the numbers and printing are a little worn but discernible. Ninety-nine percent of the cylinder containers are in very good shape. I have listed the records in numerical order. Please Google the record number online to see the artist and the name of the song.

I would prefer to sell the phonograph and all the records as a complete package. However if I were to split it up, I would ask ,300.00 for the phonograph as it includes the Cygnet horn and elbow horn, rubber horn adapter, and crane supports as stated which most sellers do not offer, and ,200 for the entire lot of records. No single records please. Prefer to sell locally as the difficulty to safely box the phonograph, records, and the large horn would be cumbersome and costly. For the very interested distant buyer perhaps I could bring the items to a local UPS store and have them properly package and ship all items with insurance in case of breakage at pre-paid buyers cost. Anyone who is familiar with these items would know that most of them are very, fragile. May be willing to drive, meet, and deliver within reasonable distance after payment to my PayPal account. Thank you for your time, patience in reading, and interest in these items.
