letterpress line cut or line engraving (known on ebay as printer's blocks - but a real printer never would have called them that), made from ZINC and wood showing the emblem or seal of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs.
Remember that printed images will - in every case - look better than the cut from which they are printed. Unfortunately I no longer have any letterpress equipment with which I can make prints of cuts for illustration purposes.
The scan shows what the cut will look like when printed. Remember, when you remove it from the package the lettering will be backwards (like a mirror image). But when you print it, the lettering will be fine.
Because of new ebay picture rules, both of these scans are possibly larger than the cut's actual size. To judge the actual size of the cut,
go ONLY BY
the dimensions I put in the first paragraph of this description.
I'm not sure if the organization still exists but this is a great vintage collectible about women AND WOMEN'S GROUPS.
Some modest soiling as usual, else VERY GOOD PLUS. Note: the wooden mounting block has been trimmed to make the cut fit into a tight place but NONE of the engraved image is lost.
